
Creating your EFA Account
1. Visit the Arkansas EFA Website: Go to efa.ade.arkansas.gov.
2. Create an Account:

New families will need to create an account on the ADE website to access the application portal.
3. Complete the Application:

Navigate to the EFA student application portal and complete the application form.

Provide details about yourself and your student, including their birth certificate, Social Security number, and proof of residency.

You may also need to provide proof of identification for yourself and possibly documentation of your household income.
4. Gather and Upload Necessary Documents:

Proof of Arkansas Residency:

This could include an Arkansas driver's license, voter registration card, tax statement, recent utility bill, mortgage statement, or lease agreement.

Verification of Student's Date of Birth:

Provide a birth certificate or another official document (passport, Medicaid card, shot record, report card).

Other Required Documents:

Follow the instructions on the application portal to determine if any other documents are required.
5. Submit the Application:

Once you have completed the application and uploaded all necessary documents, submit it through the portal.
6. Wait for Notification:

After submitting the application, you will need to wait for notification of a scholarship award.
7. Funding and Enrollment:

Funding will be deposited into your student's account after enrollment in a private school or filing a Notice of Intent to Homeschool document has been verified by ADE staff.

For home-based educated students, they can participate in the program after filing a Notice of Intent to Homeschool document with the State Department of Education.
